SpearMC was selected by a major metropolitan city in Colorado to help implement PeopleSoft Grants Management.
Summary
This Colorado city, in conjunction with SpearMC, converted all open grants into PeopleSoft, turned on Integration Broker from HCM to FSCM and Time & Labor to PC integration. The end to end grants processing was enabled in PeopleSoft including Funds Distribution, indirect overhead, billing and revenue recognition. Grants Billing was moved from manual to systematic billing in PeopleSoft including Manager Transaction Review and Invoice Workflow Approval process. Asset Management integration was also turned on for Grants and fleet. SpearMC delivered many new reports and queries including new invoice formats. The delivered Grants WorkCenter and the Billing Fluid WorkCenter were both rolled out as a part of the project.
Some of the implementation successes include:
- Initiation of 100% of billing activities in PeopleSoft to ensure transparency, proper approvals, and tracking of receivables and revenue
- Utilization of PeopleSoft Grants, integrated modules, and reports to significantly reduce the need for shadow tracking systems
- Ability to track 100% of grant applications and subsequent awards in PeopleSoft to ensure transparency, compliance with City policies and procedures, and integration with the City’s financial and human resources data
